About the HCV Resource Network
The HCV Resource Network is made up of people and organisations who use the High Conservation Value (HCV) approach. Its aim is to maintain and enhance critical social and environmental values of forests and other ecosystems as part of responsible land management, and to advance locally adaptable management strategies through the development and use of the HCV approach.
The Network has been set up to promote cooperation, collaboration and consistency in the use of the HCV concept, to enable local-level approaches to implementation, and to support activities to develop and improve the HCV approach.
The Network's Charter is a key document which sets out the Network's mission and guiding principles, and formalises how the Network is governed, how it operates, and what activities it undertakes. Participation in the Network is open to anyone who supports the Charter.
