Technical Panel

In April 2008, based on recommendations made at a Steering Group meeting held earlier in Oxford,  the HCV Resource Network invited all Network Participants and Supporting Organisations  to nominate individuals who were signatories to the Network's Charter (see the Connections pages for a list of registered Network Participants) to be potential members of a Technical Panel (TP); original ideas of how such a panel would operate were also distributed at that time.

In June 2008, the Steering Group, guided by a Quality Control sub-committe, confirmed the initial appointment of a HCV-RN Technical Panel (TP), whose role is:

  • To undertake peer reviews of specific HCV assessments or uses when requested to do so;
  • To provide recommendations on the way in which the HCV concept should be interpreted and used in practice;
  • To play a leading role in identifying the need for further development of the HCV concept, and undertaking that development;
  • To inform the SG of important developments in the use of the HCV concept as these arise.
