Biography Dwi Rahmad Muhtaman. Dwi has been working in the area of sustainability for more than 15 years. It was started in 1996 when he was assigned to conduct certification assessment on forest management concessions in Sumatra and Kalimantan. In 1999/2000 Dwi carried out another important forest certification in Jawa until 2005 and continue onward. Ever since, Dwi has involved in the forest management assessment in a more than 40 assessments/audits in Jawa, Sumatra and Kalimantan and more than 20 wood industries for chain-of-custody.
Sustainability is his passion and expertise for some commodities and sectors particularly in the natural resources sectors. Dwi also pay highly attention and interests on the policy issues of natural resources management in Indonesia. Social aspect is his special interest.
As an auditor, Dwi also conducts audit for coffee plantation and coffee suppliers. In the last few years he participates in oil palm certification assessment as social auditor. Dwi scope of expertise include Social Due Diligent/Risk Management, CSR Strategic Development, Sustainability Reporting/Audit dan Sustainability Strategy development. He is now active in oil palm assessment (RSPO standards, sosial and environmental audit) dan high conservation value areas (HCVF).
Dwi was and is member of the following organizations: HCV-RIWG (HCV-RSPO Indonesia Working Group), 2008-2011; Technical Committee of Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) for High Conservation Value Forest Concept Revision (2011); Biodiversity and High Conservation Value Working Group/Compensation Task Force (BHCV WG/CTF) of RSPO, 2011-on going; Founding member of Jaringan NKT Indonesia (HCV Network Indonesia), 2011; Chairman of the Executive Board of the Jaringan NKT Indonesia, 2011-2014; Supervisory Board of) Jaringan NKT Indonesia, 2014-2017; Expert Panel of HCV Resource Network, Oxford, 2008-2014. Quality Panel of HCVRN, 2015-2016.
He has a good network with the NGO community and private parties relating to the management natural resources. He becomes an independent consultant to various companies, international organizations and NGOs.
Dwi also was as a consultant at the Center for International Forestry Research (CIFOR) for the project sustainable furniture support in Indonesia, and other short term projects. He was a consultant agribusiness in the International Finance Corporation (IFC) for sustainable cocoa, coffee and palm oil and involved the project the Sustainanable Supply Chain Linkages Program pada International Finance Corporation (IFC), Program for Eastern Indonesia SME Assistance and other short term consultancies.
Dwi got a Masters in Public Administration from Auburn University, Alabama, USA and received his Bachelor from Bogor Agricultural University (IPB) with specialization Social Economics, Faculty of Animal Husbandry. Dwi has considerable experience in project planning & management, assessment and appraisal in Indonesia, having been involved in numerous studies and consultancy projects in sustainability appraisal in Indonesia, Malaysia and PNG.

I am also familiar with voluntary forest certification scheme developed by Indonesian stakeholders: LEI (Lembaga Ekolabel Indonesia/Indonesian Ecolabel Institute). I was auditor for CAFE PRACTICE from SCS/Starbuck.
