Biography Biologist working in the environment and development field for over 10 years. Collaborated in various conservation projects such as establishment of private protected areas, protected areas management plans in Guatemala and Mexico. Development of biodiversity monitoring programs for rural communities and private sector. Have worked in public and non-governmental organizations regarding environment and biodiversity, as well as public participation mechanisms to comply with environmental legislation. Conducts environmental impact assessments for different sectors (agriculture, renewable and clean energy, etc) with a multi-discipline working group of professionals in the field. Most recently has characterized biodiversity and ecosystems for several companies of palm oil industry that have used the information for their HCV assessments. Having received the most recent training in HCV in the region (May 2015), has updated his skills and knowledge regarding this procedure.
The work done by and under Mr. López’s lead are attached to his own principles and values, that include, among others, transparency, integrity, objectivity, with strict compliance with rules and laws that govern the commissioned studies.
