Biography Michael has a background in forest ecology, native forest silviculture and wildfire ecology and management. Michael has sound field experience in the tropical forest landscapes of Papua New Guinea and the Solomon Islands and also has extensive field experience in the temperate forested landscapes of south-eastern Australia. Michael has extensive experience in developing detailed, risk-based management plans from both an ecological and community safety standpoint.
Michael has been involved with HCV and HCSA primarily in Papua New Guinea and the Solomon Islands and participated in an HCSA assessment in southern Cambodia. Michael holds Bachelors Degree in Forest Science from the Australian National University and a Post Graduate Diploma in Bushfire Planning and Management from the University of Melbourne.
